Trois-Rivières’ wetlands, natural spaces that are essential to the environment, are threatened by the construction of Carrefour 40-55. The city is negotiating with citizens to reduce the number of hectares affected, but according to Terre Précieuse, a group campaigning for the protection of wetlands, this is not enough. The Legacy Fund will support this issue until the next municipal election in Trois-Rivières in November 2025, and will continue to offer its support following the results of that election.
