Contribute to the Legacy Fund

A donation to our General fund means we can strategically apply your support where it’s needed most. Our expert case management team will direct these funds where they’ll have the biggest impact for our partners. These are also the only donations that we can put towards education, outreach, and fundraisers that help spread the word about our—and your—causes.

Contribute to a specific case

Alternatively, use the drop-down menu to give a gift to a specific case close to your heart. Our currently active cases are:

  • Morin-Heights Wildspace Conservancy: Parents defend a beloved wild space behind a local elementary school from a condominium project.
  • Lac Crystal: Local landowners have banded together and raised incredible support to protect two crystal-clear source lakes in Lanaudière from a forestry operation.
  • Save Fairview Forest: Fairview Forest, over a century old, is slated for development into a concrete park and condo development due to its prime location next to a REM station, but locals campaign to prevent this rich habitat from being destroyed.
  • Fondation de la Sauvegarde des Écosystèmes de la Territoire de la Haute-Yamaska (Fondation SÉTHY): This conservationist organization is engaged in a legal battle to conserve a bog, donated by a local landowner, in perpetuity.
  • Regroupement vigilance énergie Québec (projet éolien): This organization is contesting the lack of public consultation in Hydro Québec’s wind energy development plan, fighting for transparency and co-creation of the province’s energy future.
  • Terre Précieuse: Residents of Trois-Rivières oppose an industrial project on natural land at Carrefour 40-55, the intersections of highways 40 and 55.
  • Save Summit Woods: Westmount and NDG residents are contesting a by-law that permits dogs to run off leash in Summit Woods park, citing concerns about both public safety and habitat preservation in this bird sanctuary and nature reserve.
  • Coalition des victimes collatérales de Lac-Mégantic: This citizens’ coalition objects to the proposed Lac-Mégantic rail bypass route on the grounds that it will pass through and destroy delicate wetlands and aquifers.
  • Coalition mobilisations citoyennes environnementales de Laval: Eleven Laval citizen groups are protesting the industrial zoning of an old farm field, disused by humans but a stop-over beloved by migrating birds.
  • Boisés et écologie Châteauguay: These citizens oppose a proposed high-end housing development on local wetlands important for drainage, water filtration, and carbon storage.
  • Les Amis du Parc Meadowbrook: After successfully protecting Meadowbrook Park, these citizens are working on an educational children’s book on citizen-led conservation.
